UNITY, Maine — A Milo man was charged with driving without a license and driving to endanger after he rolled his vehicle over on the Albion Road on Monday afternoon.

Bernard Miles Saunders, 29, of Joy Raymond Road in Milo was issued summonses after the 3:23 p.m. wreck.

According to the accident report filed by Waldo County Sheriff’s Detective Matt Curtis, Saunders was traveling north on Route 202 in a 1989 Ford sedan at an unsafe speed when he lost control after crossing the Sandy Stream bridge and his vehicle veered into the southbound lane and hit a guardrail, ricocheted back into the northbound lane, stuck a Central Maine Power Co. pole, rolled barrel-style counter clockwise into an apple tree and landed on its roof.

Saunders, who complained of chest pain, was taken by Unity Ambulance to Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield for treatment.
