EDDINGTON and MILLINOCKET – Gary A. Walsh, 68, passed away Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born April 24, 1941, in Millinocket, the son of Ralph E. Sr. and Cora E. (Waite) Walsh. He graduated from Stearns High School in 1959 and went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. Gary was an avid basketball fan. He played for a semi-pro team, the Emerson Pills, and loved the Boston Celtics. Gary retired from Great Northern Paper Co., Millinocket. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Bonita (Plissey) Walsh; son, Keith A. Walsh and his wife, Carla, of Lynbrook N.Y.; daughter, Roxanne M. Noddin and her husband, Howard, of Kenduskeag; stepchildren, Brian and Cary Look; brothers, Ralph E. Walsh Jr. and his wife, Lynn M., of Millinocket and Michael D. Walsh and his wife, Patricia A., of Millinocket; sisters, Roberta J. Madden and her husband, Bernard, of Millinocket and Karen L. Walsh and her husband, Mark A. Libby, of Dexter; grandchildren, Chelsea Noddin, Hayden Walsh and Cole Walsh; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by a grandson, Jacob Travis Noddin in 2003. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Millinocket Cemetery, Millinocket, with the Rev. Carolyn Bradley officiating.
