DEXTER, Maine — About $500 in cash was stolen from the Dexter House of Pizza Monday when the business owner’s son visited a store next door and left the business unattended, according to Dexter police.

Chris Pooler of the department said Dexter Officer Dana Gatcomb is investigating the theft.

A break-in at a Ripley Road apartment on Monday also is under investigation. The resident told police the only thing missing was his medicines. No further details were available Wednesday.
