LINNEUS, Maine — A local man was arrested Saturday night after he lost control of his vehicle on a corner and struck a parked motor home and a house on Bangor Road.

Briady Dow, 19, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants as a result of the 6:50 p.m. accident, according to Trooper Brian Harris of the Maine State Police.

Harris said Dow and his passenger Ben Briggs, 21, of Linneus, suffered minor cuts and were treated at the scene by emergency responders. Both were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident, he said.

Dow’s 1998 Buick was demolished.

Investigating officer Trooper Carmen Lilly estimated damage to the parked motor home at $8,000 and damage to the private home at $1,000.
