Dover-Foxcroft police bust underage drinkers

DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — A juvenile who was seen kicking a barricade barrel on West Main Street Saturday morning led police to an underage drinking party.

Dover-Foxcroft police Officer Jon Powers, who observed the incident, stopped to talk with the young man, he said. While there, several of the young man’s friends came from a house in the area, he said.

Powers said he learned that a party had occurred at the house and about 15 juveniles had attended. Not wanting to be specific, he said that more than five were summoned for illegal possession of liquor by a minor.

The investigation is continuing and further charges that could include the homeowner, may be made, Powers said.
