GORHAM, Maine — Alison Bradley of the University of Southern Maine made three saves on 12 shots in a 2-0 women’s soccer shutout of the University of Maine-Farmington on Tuesday.
For the 1-4 USM Huskies, Heidi DeHaan scored off a Samantha Mathieu assist and Catherine Wise scored off a pass from Chelsea Norton.
For the 2-2 UMF Beavers, McKell Barnes made two saves on 11 shots.
Bowdoin 4, Bates 0
At Brunswick, Kat Flaherty made eight saves to register her first career shutout and Ellery Gould scored twice as Bowdoin beat rival Bates.
Celeste Swain and Amy Hackett scored the other Bowdoin goals and Stacie Sammott had a pair of assists.
Annie Burns made 12 saves for 1-1 Bates.
Bowdoin (1-1) outshot Bates 25-15.
Saint Joseph’s 3, UNE 2
At Standish, Courtney Rague scored two goals to lead Saint Joseph’s College to its first-ever win over the University of New England.
The winning goal proved to be that scored by Jaimee Brett of Otisfield with 25 minutes left in the second half.
Meaghan Johnson made seven saves on 13 shots for the 3-0 Monks.
For the 3-1 Nor’easters of Biddeford, Michelle Oswald and Taryn Flagg each scored a goal. Ayla Nelson saved seven of 14 shots.
