What bold cuts should the University of Maine System make?

On Monday, UMS Chancellor Richard Pattenaude announced plans to make the system more financially efficient. What would you do to reduce costs or improve outcomes?

Should the system be consolidated into two or three units? Should fewer classes be offered? Should instructors be required to teach more classes? Where do you see waste in the system? Or should state government invest more money in the postsecondary system as an economic development measure?
