AUGUSTA, Maine — Gov. John Baldacci has directed that U.S. and state of Maine flags be flown at half-staff until sunset Sunday in remembrance and honor of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts, who died last week of brain cancer.

The governor’s order followed a proclamation by President Obama ordering flags lowered to half-staff at all federal buildings for the same time period.
