WINDSOR, Maine — The Windsor Fair gets under way for the 120th year on Sunday when it opens its gates for nine days of festivities.
The fair features agriculture exhibits, crafts, art exhibits, animal-pulling events, a carnival, demolition derbies, music, a giant pumpkin contest and the Maine Apple Queen pageant. It also has harness racing, and for the first time the racing will be simulcast at off-track betting parlors.
More than 100,000 people attend the fair each year. It continues through Labor Day.
