2 arrested in Milo break-in

MILO, Maine — Local police have arrested two men after a break-in Monday morning at a Kimball Street residence.

Milo Police Chief Kenny Williams said entry was gained through an unlocked back door in the house. Several DVDs, compact discs, computer parts, and a black-powder rifle were taken in the break-in, he said Thursday.

Information received during the investigation led Milo police Officer David Henderson to arrest Jeffrey Chase, 28, and Jeffrey Lyford, 37, both of Milo. The men, who were charged with Class B burglary and Class B theft, are expected to make their initial court appearances on Nov. 16 in 13th District Court in Dover-Foxcroft.

Williams said the stolen items have been recovered.
