SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — South Portland is the setting for this year’s annual Democratic summer fundraiser, the Muskie Lobster Bake.

More than 200 people are expected at the eventscheduled for Sunday on the oceanfront lawn at Southern Maine Community College.

Gov. John Baldacci and U.S. Reps. Mike Michaud and Chellie Pingree will be there. So will the various candidates who have announced they will be running to be the Democratic nominee for governor in the 2010 election.

The fundraiser is named in honor of the late Edmund S. Muskie, who served as Maine governor, U.S. senator and U.S. Secretary of State during his political career.
