ELLSWORTH – Juanita Sue Pellon, 65, loving wife and mother, died unexpectedly Aug. 13, 2009, at her home. She was born Oct. 13, 1943, in West Virginia, the daughter of Ivan and Evelyn (Whited) Mullins. Juanita enjoyed time with family. Holidays were always a special time for her and she enjoyed being surrounded by her family. She could accomplish more on Christmas Eve than most could in two months time. She was truly an amazing person and was a great support to all her family. Her generosity to family, community and charity will live on. Juanita began her career working in publishing and was a successful realtor for many years. As her children began high school, Juanita earned her degree in social work from the University of Maine. During her later years she enjoyed volunteering and was a lifelong lover of the arts. Juanita was a gifted musician, able to master many instruments and her singing was enjoyed by many. She especially enjoyed classical music and was a talented painter. Her gift of art will be enjoyed by generations. Juanita was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Bangor. She will be dearly missed by her family; her two cats, Bessie and Rueben; and her very dear friend, Lorraine White. She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Everett Victor Pellon; their four children, Darlena Sue Aleman of Baltimore, Pamala Sue Pellon-Irwin of Bangor, Nicholas Victor Pellon of Ellsworth and Christian Vincent Pellon of Norton, Mass.; eight grandchildren, Vicente Butler Chapman, Nicole Orion Aleman, Marissa Christine Irwin, Jessamine Grace Irwin, Arianna Juanita Irwin, Victor Alan Irwin, Christopher Pellon and Noah Marcon; and four sisters, Patricia, Kathryn, Pamala and Linda. Family and friends may visit 6-7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer, where a Trisagion service will be held at 6:45 p.m. A funeral service honoring her life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 90 Sanford St., Bangor, with the Rev. Adam P. Metropoulos, presbyter, presiding. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport.
