BANGOR – Norma Ferris Hunt, 77, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, at her home. Norma was born Feb. 10, 1932, in Quincy, Mass., to Herbert J. Ferris and Effie Ferris. Norma enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, reading and spending time at the family camp. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star No. 133 Sebosis, Cutler, and Penobscot Valley Conservation Club. Norma was a longtime friend of Bill W. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert W. Hunt of Bangor; her daughters, Judi L. Russ and husband, James W. Russ, of Bangor, and Shelly Eames and partner, David Boustany, of Orrington; her grandchildren, Robert and Patrick Gamble, and Scott Fleeman, all of Bangor, Justin Eames of Orrington, Danielle Eames-Powe of Bangor, Taylor Johnson of Orrington, Carlie Mason of Brewer, Ashley Castrogiavanni of Philadelphia, Nathaniel S. Madore of Makaha, Hawaii, and Olivia S. Madore of Bangor; great-granddaughter, Mabel Eames of Bangor; and close family friends, Sally Madore and Margaret Shalhoob of Bangor. A memorial service will be held noon Saturday, Aug. 15, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Friends are welcome to call 11 a.m. until the time of service.
