ELLSWORTH, Maine — Falmouth scored five runs in the top of the seventh held on to defeat Ellsworth 5-4 during the Little League baseball state championship tournament for 9- and 10-year-olds Tuesday.
Ellsworth rallied with four runs in the bottom of the inning, but Falmouth reliever Hogan Tracy recorded a game-ending strikeout with the bases loaded to end the comeback.
Robbie Armitage hit an RBI triple to highlight the five-run seventh for Falmouth. Will Blum singled twice and Reece Armitage had a single and a run scored. Starting pitcher Chris Camelio struck out eight in five innings.
Jack Lee had an RBI single in the seventh and scored a run for Ellsworth. Troy Folmer and Asa Jordan each singled twice and Zack McGraw drove in a run.

At Ellsworth, Jack McDonald hit a two-run single in the second inning to help York eliminate Houlton.
Sam DesMarais singled and knocked in a run for York and Colby Todd doubled.
Matt Tuttle, Nick Cowperthwaite and Patrick Howe singled for Houlton.

At Ellsworth, Allessa Oakes pitched a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts as Hermon-Levant-Carmel beat Lincoln County.
Scarborough eliminated Auburn Suburban 9-8 in the nightcap.
Oakes hit two doubles and drove in two runs for Hermon-Levant-Carmel. Sydney Addessi had a double, two singles and three RBIs. Karli Theberge singled twice with an RBI.
Sophie Schumacher scored both runs for Lincoln County.
