At Ellsworth, Falmouth scored five runs in the top of the seventh and allowed four runs by Ellsworth in the bottom of the inning until Hogan Tracy recorded a strikeout with the bases loaded to hand Falmouth the win.
Robbie Armitage hit an RBI triple to highlight the five-run seventh for Falmouth. Will Blum singled twice and Reece Armitage had a single and a run scored. Starting pitcher Chris Camelio struck out eight in five innings.
Jack Lee had an RBI single in the seventh and scored a run for Ellsworth. Troy Folmer and Asa Jordan each singled twice and Zack McGraw drove in a run.

At Ellsworth, Allessa Oakes struck out 14 and allowed no hits as Hermon-Levant-Carmel beat Lincoln County.
Scarborough eliminated Auburn Suburban 9-8 in the nightcap.
Oakes hit two doubles and drove in two runs for Hermon-Levant-Carmel. Sydney Addessi had a double, two singles and three RBIs. Karli Theberge singled twice with an RBI.
Sophie Schumacher scored both runs for Lincoln County.

BANGOR — Cheering tryouts will be Aug. 17-18 in the Bangor High School gym from 5:45-8 p.m. A physical form and parental permission form must be on file with the school prior to tryouts. Call coach Stephanie Crane at 478-0348.
Tryouts for the varsity golf team is on Aug. 20 and 21 at Bangor Municipal Golf Course. Each tryout will be 18 holes with tee times starting at 9 a.m. Mandatory meeting on Aug. 17 at Bangor Municipal at 10 a.m. Call Rob Jarvis at 941-0232 or with any questions.

BREWER — Mandatory meeting for all fall athletes and their parents/guardians is on Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Brewer High School gym. Tryouts and practices begin on Aug. 17. Information about starting times and venues will be given at the meeting. All athletes must have a physical exam in order to participate in athletic activities, and permission forms and emergency cards must be signed and returned before the first practice.

Foxcroft Academy
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Fall sports tryouts and practices begin on August 17. Students need signed contract and completed emergency cards to participate. Forms can be picked up in the main office between 8 a.m.-3 p.m. All freshmen, juniors and new students need recent proof of a physical. Foxcroft Academy is hosting physicals on August 13 at 6 p.m. for $10. Pre-season practice times: girls soccer, 7:30-11 a.m.; boys soccer, 8 a.m.-noon; football, noon-2 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.; field hockey, 9-11:30 a.m.; cheering, 4:5:30 p.m.; cross country 5-7 p.m.; golf, 3-5 p.m.

HAMPDEN — Fall sports at Hampden Academy will begin Aug. 17. All students must read and agree to the Student-Parent-Athlete Handbook rules, and have a signed consent form, proof of physical and a completed Emergency Card in order to try out or practice. Forms are available at Hampden Academy or online at
Tryout times are: field hockey 7 a.m., girls soccer 8 a.m., boys soccer 8 a.m., cross country 8 a.m., cheering 9 a.m. and golf 2:30 p.m.

BANGOR — Fall sports first year and new student informational meeting Aug. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium, followed by an informational meeting for all fall athletes with their coaches at 7:30 p.m. in assigned classrooms. STACYVILLE — Tryouts for the Katahdin High School boys and girls soccer teams will be held on Aug. 11 at 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Students need to bring proof of a physical and paperwork in order to participate.

FAIRFIELD — Lawrence High School will hold its Student Athlete and Parent meeting on Aug. 13 in the gym at 6 p.m. It is a mandatory meeting and students must have a signed permission card, proof of health insurance, evidence of an updated physical and a signed Code of Conduct form. BAR HARBOR — Mandatory informational meeting for all fall sports athletes and their parents on Aug. 16 in the MDI High School gym at 6 p.m. At least one member of the family must attend the meeting.
