Lincolnville man charged in sex assault

LINCOLNVILLE, Maine — A local man has been arrested on multiple sex charges after an alleged sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl.

Brian Feener, 45, of Youngtown Road was arrested at his residence Monday after a joint investigation by the Lincolnville Police Department and Waldo County Sheriff’s Department.

Feener was charged with gross sexual assault, sexual abuse of a minor and unlawful sexual contact. He was booked at the Waldo County Jail, where he is being held on $10,000 cash or $150,000 surety bail.

Police Chief Ron Young said Tuesday that the assault occurred on July 23 and involved a 14-year-old girl.

Young said he was assisted in the investigation by Waldo County Sheriff’s Detective Matt Curtis and Deputy Gene Rega.
