Police ID motorcyclist killed in Waterford crash

WATERFORD, Maine – A motorcyclist was killed this morning when he collided with a pick up in the Oxford County town of Waterford, according to State Police. Horace Wallace, 51, of Richmond died as the result of the crash, which took place about 8:30 on Five Kezars Road. Police say Wallace veered into the opposite lane on a curve and collided head-on with the pickup.

The truck was driven by Stanley Rowe, 74, of Waterford who was slightly injured. The impact threw the Wallace into the pickup’s windshield and then onto the pavement.

Wallace was killed instantly.

He was not wearing a helmet. A team of four State Troopers and two deputies from the Oxford Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash.
