BANGOR and MARS HILL – We are sad to announce that Brenda Lee Ruhlin passed to the unseen temple July 11, 2009, surrounded by her family. She was born April 1, 1948, the daughter of Frank and Dolores Pierce. Our mother was a master flower gardener and was incredible in the kitchen. She found peace in her faith with her knees and gloved hands in the tilled earth. Her true passion was her family. She was a devoted and loving wife to our father, David John Ruhlin, who passed away in October 2007. She was the most loving, caring and supportive mother to Christopher and Michelle Ruhlin, and Jessica and Bruce Frey. She was there for us in every way imaginable. She adored her grandchildren, Ethan and Eleanor Ruhlin and Kalana Frey, and they loved her very much and are heartbroken at the loss of their “Grammy.” She was a loving daughter to Frank and Dolores. She will be greatly missed by her “Mum and Dad,” her brothers, Peter and Paul; sisters, Kristi and Jill; and special niece, Robin James. She also loved and was loved by many nieces, nephews and inlaws. We express our deep gratitude to the doctors and nurses in the intensive care unit of Eastern Maine Medical Center for their expert and loving care for our mother and us. We invite friends and family to help celebrate our mother’s life 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Bangor Banquet and Conference Center, Hogan Road, Bangor.
