BANGOR, Maine — A two-car crash on Odlin Road on Thursday night sent two people to local hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.

The accident occurred about 9 p.m., near the entrance to the Ground Round Grill & Bar.

Chelsea MacLeod, 20, of Stockton Springs was traveling north on Odlin Road in her 1997 Buick Regal when she made a left turn into the Ground Round parking lot, traveling into the path of a 1996 Chevrolet Beretta driven by Shawn Chapman, 19, of Hermon, Bangor police Officer Mike Jewett said.

Injured in the crash were 17-year-old Samantha Munson of Hermon, a passenger in Chapman’s car, and Rachel Chambers, 16, whose hometown wasn’t immediately available and who was a passenger in MacLeod’s car, Jewett said. A second passenger in MacLeod’s car was not hurt in the crash, which resulted in significant damage to both cars.

Chambers was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center for treatment of a cut on her leg, while Munson, who complained of lightheadedness and head pain at the scene, was taken to St. Joseph Hospital, Jewett said.

Lt. Jeff Millard, who also was at the accident scene, said charges likely will not be filed in connection with the crash.
