AUGUSTA, Maine — The Baldacci administration is reminding people that that Maine state government offices are closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Additionally, nearly all state agencies and offices will be closed on Monday, July 6, as a cost saving initiative in the new state budget.

Monday will be the first of 20 state shutdown days over the next two years.
