JUNIOR LEAGUE
Hampden 15, Brewer14

BANGOR — Matt Ward’s two-run single with one out in the bottom of the seventh gave Hampden a 15-14 victory over Brewer in a Junior League all-star baseball game Tuesday night at Mansfield Stadium.
Matt Closson had three singles and three RBIs for Hampden. Sam Ward had three singles and two RBIs, and Brian Ficket singled three times.
Ian Forrest had a double, a single, and two RBIs to lead Brewer. Spencer Walker had two singles and two RBIs. Matt Morrow had a two-run single.

Hermon 10, Houlton 1
At Bangor’s Mansfield Stadium, Logan Tremblay pitched a five-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks to lead Hermon past Houlton.
Tremblay retired Houlton’s final 12 batters in order.
Nick Giuod singled twice for Hermon.

LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL, DISTRICT  3, 11-12
Lincoln 9, Glenburn 0

At Lincoln, Trevor Delaite pitched one-hit ball through 5ª innings as Lincoln shut out Glenburn.
Delaite struck out 12 and walked two for Lincoln while Scott Jipson picked up the final two outs because of the pitch- count rule. Delaite hit two doubles and Tanner McCarthy hit a two-run double in the fourth inning.
Cody Lyons singled in the third inning to lead Glenburn.

Bangor East 11, Holbrook 1
At Holden, Liam Harrigan doubled, singled and drove in four runs as Bangor East beat Holbrook.
Andrew Hillier allowed one run on one hit and no walks while striking out nine in four innings for Bangor East. Jake Morrill hit a two-run single and Hillier singled twice.
Brett Webber singled in the third for Holbrook and Rob Benton had a sacrifice fly.

LEGION BASEBALL
Steamboat sweeps Calais

SEARSPORT — Gabe Blodgett and Ethan McHatten combined to pitch a three-hit shutout as Steamboat Petroleum defeated Calais 7-0 in the first game of an American Legion baseball doubleheader Tuesday. Steamboat also took the nightcap 10-3.
In the first game, Nate Adams hit a three-run home run with no outs in the first inning and McHatten followed with a solo homer for Steamboat. Jack Davis doubled and singled with an RBI and Adams added an RBI single in the second.
Blodgett and McHatten combined for five strikeouts and one walk.
Dylan Ramsdell led Calais with two singles.
In the second game, Adams hit a triple, two singles, scored three runs and drove in a run to pace Steamboat Petroleum. Josiah Brazier had two singles and two RBIs, McHatten had an RBI single and a sacrifice fly and Dale Dutton hit an RBI double.
Bryce Colbeth singled twice and drove in two runs for Calais. Tom Pottle and Adam Geel doubled while Mike Kennedy hit two singles.

Presque Isle 9, Orono 4
At Mahaney Diamond, Orono, Presque Isle scored five runs in the first inning and held on to defeat Orono.
Logan McLaughlin and Mitch Folsom each had two singles and two RBIs to lead the Patriots. Pat Thibodeau added an RBI single and a sacrifice fly and Wilder York hit an RBI single in the first inning.
Casey Estes singled three times and scored two runs for Orono. Dan LeBreton had two singles and a sacrifice fly.

Motor City 11, Penquis 5
At Winkin Complex in Bangor, Aaron Healy pitched five solid innings while receiving plenty of offensive support as Motor City of Bangor kept Penquis winless.
Casey Hull had three singles and one RBI for Motor City. Charlie Merritt added an RBI double. Matt Enman had a single and three RBIs. Ryan Carr had a single and two RBIs.
Billy Trivette hit a pinch-hit, two-run single for Penquis. Josiah Richard and C.J. Giles each hit RBI singles.
