BIDDEFORD, Maine — A candlelight vigil in memory of two brothers shot down on a Biddeford street drew about 200 mourners.

The gathering Tuesday night began with a handful of people and quickly grew into a rally near a shrine erected to honor 19-year-old Gage Green and 21-year-old Derek Green.

Biddeford Mayor Joanne Twomey was one of those at the event. She says people needed an opportunity to mourn and to vent to begin the grieving process.

Charged with two counts of murder is 55-year-old Rory Holland of Biddeford. He’s being held without bail at the York County Jail.
