BANGOR – Jeremiah H. Breau, 88, died, Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at a Bangor health care facility. He was born Jan. 4, 1921, in Brewer, the son of Robert and Helen (Curran) Breau. Jeremiah retired from the Maine Air National Guard after 30 years of service. He had also been a mechanic in the U.S. Army and a private pilot. Jeremiah enjoyed many hobbies including, building models, long rides in his car, and seeking out airports throughout the East Coast. He loved his dogs. Jeremiah is survived by his daughters, Nancy Breau of Bangor, and Marilyn Renfro and her husband, William, of Bangor; grandchildren, Robert, Sara, Nicholas and Devin; and great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Christopher, Sebastian, Tyler, Skylar and Connor. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Aldana (Coburn) Breau, who passed only five short months before him; and his son, Robert T. Breau. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Friday June 26, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor.
