DEXTER, Maine — SAD 46 residents validated the district budget of $10,137,113 in a vote of 127-47 Tuesday during a referendum.
The results by town in the district were as follows, with all in favor: Exeter, 15-5; Garland, 14-10; Dexter, 84-21; and Ripley 14-11.
A referendum also was held on the Alternative Organizational Structure 94 budget of $449,292 for administrative costs. It passed 156-55.
AOS 94 is made up of the town of Harmony and the four SAD 46 towns of Dexter, Exeter, Ripley and Garland. The budget approved Tuesday includes the salary of the superintendent, his office staff and expenses, the special services director, her secretary and expenses, and the transportation director and his expenses.
The results by town for the AOS budget were as follows: Exeter 15-5; Garland 15-9; Dexter 88-16; Ripley 13-12, and Harmony 25-13.
The town of Harmony also validated its budget for the operation of the Harmony school on a vote of 28-10.
