MILO, Maine — The 20th Cruize-In will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at the JSI Store Fixtures parking lot on Route 11 in Milo.
The event, which will be held rain or shine, is co-sponsored this year by the Penquis Cruizers, a local automobile club, and the Milo Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization.
Activities to be held around 11 a.m. include the rap contest and the bumper ball contest. Dash plaques will be provided for those who enter their cars and trucks at the event.
Free National Street Rod Association inspections will be available for vehicles registered at the Cruize-In, sponsored by the Central Maine Street Rods and the National Street Rod Association inspectors in the area.
An auction of car-related items donated by area businesses and by Cruizer and PTO members, will be held at 1 p.m.
Awards will be presented for the longest distance traveled on the day of the event; best-appearing club, which will be presented to the club with the most vehicles registered; and best hard-luck story for whoever encountered the greatest difficulty during the trip to the Cruize-In.
A trophy also will be presented to the vehicle voted “favorite cruizer” by the participants.
Awards will be given to winners of the contests held throughout the day.
There will be giveaways throughout the day.
Music will be provided by Neptune Entertainment and the Three Rivers Kiwanis will provide refreshments.
Admission is $3 for adults, free to children under 13 when accompanied by an adult. There is a $2 admission fee for youngsters who arrive unaccompanied by an adult.
