WEST BATH – Gregory P. Ingalls Sr. died unexpectedly June 11, 2009, while in Wisconsin. He was born Aug. 8, 1958, in Portland. He lived a good part of his life in Downeast Maine, where he raised his family and had many close friends. He recently worked for C.R. England as a long haul truck driver. He was an avid sports fan following all of the New England teams, especially the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed being outdoors doing most anything, whether woodworking, golfing, fishing or playing in local softball leagues with his friends and especially his son. There was nothing Greg loved more than his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Karen Ingalls of West Bath; his son, Gregory Ingalls Jr. and wife, Noreen and their two children, Gregory III and Emma, of Fort Eustis, Va.; his daughter, Brenda Catheron and her two children, Belinda and Isabelle, of Blyethville, Ark. He is also survived by his mother, Pauline Ingalls of South Portland; his sister, Linda Fickett of Casco; and his brother, Donald Ingalls Sr. of Lewiston. He was predeceased by his father, Carroll Ingalls, in 1975. Greg will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends and especially missed by his wife and children, who where the most important part of his life. Services will be held 5 p.m. Friday, June 19, at Church of Christ, Milbridge, and 4 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at West Bath Grange Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
