TV taken in break-in of Burnham camp

By Walter Griffin

BURNHAM, Maine — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a break-in discovered Sunday at a camp on Edmund’s Lane.

The camp owner reported the break-in at 8 p.m. He told Deputy Dave Mushrall that he had not visited his camp for three weeks, and when he unlocked the door, he noticed immediately that someone has stolen his flat-screen television, Chief Deputy Robert Keating said Monday.

Although at first there were no signs of a forced entry, upon further investigation Mushrall discovered that a screen and window on the side of the camp had been pried open. The thief apparently left through the back door with the $300 television.
