BANGOR – Barbara Jean Thompson, 58, died Saturday, June 13, 2009, after a long illness. She was born Jan. 26, 1951, in Bangor. Barbara worked at Eastern Maine Medical Center for four years in food service. She was a special lady who will be missed and always loved. Barbara is survived by her children, Erica French and fiance, Richard Gould, of Bangor and Justin Thompson of Troy; granddaughter, Amanda Jean French and boyfriend, Ricky Black, of Bangor; a great-grandchild expected in October; sister, Mary Sock and husband, Raymond, of Big Cove, New Brunswick; brother, David Overlock and wife, Roberta, of Milford; a special uncle, Tom Barlow of Big Cove, New Brunswick; a longtime family friend, Hilda Moore of Dixmont; and her special cat, Torrie. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Thompson; parents, Perley Overlock and Elsie Lizotte; and her biological parents, Lawrence Barlow and Madeline (Nelson) Butler.
