BREWER – Ertin F. “Pinky” Cameron, 78, died May 30, 2009, at a Brewer health care center. He was born June 10, 1930, in Brewer, son of Harry V. and Florence (Dupuis) Cameron. Pinky worked for Brooks Brick Co., Brewer, during his early years and was employed by the city of Brewer for 38 years. He worked for the highway department for 10 years, from 1945 to 1955; and was a firefighter for 28 years, retiring in 1984 as assistant chief. He also served with the National Guard, Battery A, Brewer. Surviving are four children, Larry Cameron of Bangor, Catherine Webber and her husband, Patrick, of Carmel, Theresa Raymond and her husband, Thomas, of Cumberland and Beth Baron and her husband, Richard, of Woodstock, Conn.; his longtime companion, Judie Grant of Brewer; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Cameron of Eddington and Alan Cameron and his wife, Joanna, of Orono; three sisters, Margaret Robichaud and Beatrice Miller, both of Eddington and Alice Shellhamer of Holden; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Barbara Cameron in 1996. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, Brewer. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. A time of fellowship will be held immediately after the service.
