FORT MCCOY, Fla., and BANGOR – Wendell B. Woodward Jr., 53, died unexpectedly May 25, 2009. He was born April 11, 1956. Wendell was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked in the Fort McCoy (Fla.) school system and enjoyed his family. He was predeceased by his mother, Sarah O. (Bryant) Woodward; father, Wendell B. Woodward Sr.; and son, Matthew P. Woodward. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Melissa Ann Woodward; four children: daughters, Lori-Anne (Woodward) Rahn and Richard of Winterport, Melanie (Woodward) Pullar and Timothy of Bellingham, Wash., and sons, Robert P. Woodward and Scott M. Woodward, both of Fort McCoy, Fla.; three grandchildren, Bailey Rahn, Carys Pullar and Julian Pullar; brother, Cecil A. Woodward and Dawna of Bangor; a very special niece and nephew, Brandy and Scott; and many loved ones in the Blue Hill area. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Sunday, May 31, at Fort McCoy Baptist Church.
