Skowhegan man hurt in ATV crash

The Associated Press

BINGHAM, Maine — A Skowhegan man was injured when he was tossed from an all-terrain vehicle and then run over by it.

The Maine Department of Fisheries and Wildlife is investigating Saturday’s crash. Officials say 38-year-old Jason Bushey was trying to take a hard right turn when he was tossed off his vehicle into a rock ledge in Bingham. Bushey, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, hit his head on the rocks, and then was run over by the vehicle.

Authorities say alcohol may have been a factor, and that someone else at the scene was arrested for operating under the influence.
