LAMOINE – Carrie A. Tracy, 81, died May 21, 2009, with her family surrounding her at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, Ellsworth. She was born June 6, 1927, in Lamoine, the daughter of Leander and Margaret M. (Young) Smith. Carrie was a member of the Veterans’ of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 109. Carrie had many interests through the years, but especially enjoyed roller skating and playing golf. She will always be remembered for her devotion and love for her children and grandchildren. Her family always came first. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, JR Tracy of Lamoine; daughters, Linda and her husband, Jim DePaula, of Mesa, Ariz., and Pamela Cushing of Ellsworth; five grandchildren, Tracy, Tricia, Donald Jr., Clyde II and Jodie; seven great-grandchildren, Timothy, Damon, Brandi, Sierra, Canyon, Hayden and Grace; two nieces and one nephew. Carrie was predeceased by her parents; one son-in-law, Clyde G. Cushing; and two brothers. A time to share remembrances will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at her home, 1008 Shore Road, Lamoine.
