At Mars Hill, Mitch Folsom stroked a two-run double to cap a seven-run fifth inning that pushed the Panthers to victory. Folsom also posted two singles and another RBI for Central Aroostook, which got a double, two singles and two RBIs from Will Delong. Relief winner Manny Martinez hit three singles with three RBIs and Garrett Stiles had three singles and two RBIs. Matt Howe collected three singles and an RBI to lead Washburn. Sebastian Viola contributed a double, a single and two RBIs and Sal Viola added two singles and two RBIs.

GHCA 21, Hodgdon 5

At Hodgdon, Chad Duff hit four singles, knocked in two runs and stole five bases to propel Greater Houlton Christian Academy by Hodgdon. Zach Straubel added a double, a single and three RBIs for the Eagles. Ryan Wellington had two home runs and four RBIs to pace Hodgdon.

Madawaska 9, Houlton 5

At Houlton, Andrew Dechaine and Brad Pelletier each tallied a double, a single and two RBIs to spark Madawaska by Houlton. Nathan Beaulieu added a double and a single for the Owls. Josh Harvey tripled and singled with two RBIs while Pat Longstaff had a double, a single and two RBIs for Houlton.

Penobscot Valley sweeps Schenck

At Howland, Derrick Bellevance hit three singles and drove in four runs to lead Penobscot Valley by Schenck of East Millinocket in the first game of a doubleheader. The Howlers took the second game 13-1. In the first game, Anthony Batchelder posted two doubles and three RBIs for Penobscot Valley. Nevin Jipson hit two singles and a double while Jakes Jones added three singles. Coty Powers and Nick Cote each singled for Schenck. In the second game, Jipson had two singles, an RBI and five stolen bases to spark the Howlers. Bellevance hit two singles with an RBI while Kyle Dickey and Matt Theriault each had a single with two RBIs. Taylor Tanous hit two singles to pace the Wolverines.

Shead 4, Machias 3

At Eastport, the Tigers rallied for four seventh-inning runs to improve to 7-2. Shead’s Caleb Ricker delivered a bases-loaded double in the seventh after Timmy Demolet led off with a single and the next two batters reached on errors. Two outs after the double, winning pitcher Justin Lewey responded with a two-run single to give the Tigers the victory. Sam Whitney and Jacob Scoville each singled twice for Machias with Whitney driving in a run.

Ellsworth 14, Foxcroft Acad. 0

At Ellsworth, Andrew Hodge pitched a three-hitter with no walks and five strikeouts as Ellsworth topped Foxcroft Academy in five innings. Patrick Kelley hit a two-run double and a single while Jordan Carter had a two-run single for the Eagles. Josiah Richard, Nick Strout and Brandon Erickson each singled for Foxcroft Academy.

Orono 7, Penquis 0

At Orono, Sean Kilpatrick pitched a no-hitter with one walk and five strikeouts to lead Orono by Penquis of Milo. Ben Perry had a double, a single and an RBI while Brandon LeVasseur hit two singles for the Red Riots.

Woodland 16, Jonesport-Beals 1

At Woodland, Ryan Lincoln hit two singles, a double and knocked in five runs to power Woodland by Jonesport-Beals in five innings. Aaron St. Pierre had two singles, a triple and an RBI for the Dragons. Eddie Flaherty singled twice with two RBIs while Chad James added two singles and an RBI. Matt Alley singled twice for Jonesport-Beals.

LCS/MSSM 13, Fort Fairfield 3

At Limestone, Danny Cote pitched a five-inning, four-hitter and singled twice with an RBI to lead the Eagles to victory. Aaron St. Pierre hit doubled and singled with two RBIs and Sam Davidson hit a double and two singles with an RBI for Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics. Josh Churchill singled twice for Fort Fairfield.

Washington Acad. 6, Searsport 5

At Searsport, John Hall’s two-run double with two outs in the seventh-inning capped a three-run rally that gave Washington Academy of East Machias its win over Searsport. Winning pitcher Bryce Colbeth had a double and a single and drove in a run. Josiah Brazier had a double and two singles and drove in a run for Searsport and Allen Connor had two singles and four stolen bases.

Camden Hills 7, MCI 2

At Pittsfield, Zac Dufour, Mykel Callaway and Chris Hart combined on a four-hitter and Hart and Keegan Pieri had run-scoring singles in a three-run sixth that broke the game open. Callaway had a double and a single and drove in a run for Camden Hills. Pieri and Hart had two singles and an RBI each and Thomas Kennedy had a single and a sacrifice fly and drove in three runs. Zach Doiron doubled for Maine Central Institute.

Lincoln Acad. 5, Rockland 3

At Rockland, Gavin Joannides threw five innings okf five-hit, shutout relief and triggered a decisive two-run rally in the fifth with a double as Lincoln Academy of Newcastle beat Rockland. Joannides, who struck out seven and walked one, broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth when he came home on Jeff Lamb’s single after he had doubled. Ben McLain singled home Lamb. Lamb and McLain had two singles and an RBI apiece. Andy Murphy and Dave McGuire had two singles apiece for Rockland and Dave Searle belted a three-run double.

So. Aroostook 13, East Grand 1

At Dyer Brook, Tyler Robinson hit two singles, a double and drove in three runs as Southern Aroostook cruised past East Grand of Danforth. Travis Smith doubled and singled with two RBIs while Dillon Boulier hit a two-run double for the Warriors. Aaron Henn had a double and a single for the Vikings.

DI-Stonington 5, Sumner 3

At Deer Isle, Eben Powers and Joe Carter each knocked in two runs with a double and two singles to propel the Mariners to victory over the Tigers. Jon Lymburner doubled and singled for Deer Isle-Stonington. Joe Simmons doubled and singled for Sumner of East Sullivan. Matt Dyer singled twice.

Bangor Christian 7, Dexter 5

At Bangor, the Patriots scored early and often to beat the Tigers. Ben Groski rapped a double and a single with an RBI to lead Bangor Christian, while Jon Johnson and winning pitcher Chris Potter each doubled and singled. Nathan Wyman led Dexter with a single and two RBIs. Matt Gelzinis added an RBI single.

MDI 2, Bucksport 1

At Bucksport, Willie Clark’s one-out single in the sixth started a two-run rally that gave the Mount Desert Island Trojans a big win. Sam Stewart followed with a walk, Dennis O’Neil hit an RBI single, and Stewart then scored on a fielding error. Clark had a double and a single for MDI. O’Neil scattered eight hits. Tom McGeechan and Cam Wentworth each had three singles for the Golden Bucks.

Mount View 10, Belfast 7

At Thorndike, Tyler Rednour hit a triple and a double to lead Mount View by Belfast for its first win of the season. Eric Meally doubled and singled while Cody Raven added two singles for the Mustangs. Cody Lord paced Belfast with two singles and a double while Jack Davis had a double.

Stearns 3, PCHS 1

At Millinocket, Brandon Bouchard tossed a two-hitter, striking out four and walking one, and Jeremy Santerre snapped a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring triple in the sixth as Stearns triumphed. Aaron Cyr had two singles for Stearns while Justin Cleeves and Jake Bailey singled for Pis-cataquis Community High of Guilford.

Hampden 4, Brewer 2

At Hampden, Alex Cust smacked a two-run double to highlight a three-run sixth inning that lifted the Broncos to victory over the Witches. Shawn Smith pitched a five-hitter, shutting out Brewer over the last six innings. Cody Miller rapped two doubles and a single with an RBI for Hampden Academy. Losing pitcher Chase Daniels hit an RBI single and Eric White doubled for Brewer. Daniels scattered seven hits.



LCS/MSSM 12, Fort Fairfield 11

At Limestone, Stephanie Leighton singled to score Audra Kirk (single) with the winning run with nobody out in the ninth inning, lifting the Eagles to victory. Kellie Peers paced Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics, which trailed 9-2 at one point, with a double, three singles and an RBI. Kirk singled three times and Leighton also hit a double. Stacy Bernier knocked a two-run home run and Victoria St. Pierre singled twice to back winning pitcher Jasmine Cote, who struck out seven and hit a solo homer. Emily Wiseman powered Fort Fairfield with two home runs, two singles and four RBIs. Courtney Churchill smacked a three-run homer and Kelsie Wilson hit two doubles.

Houlton 24, Madawaska 5

At Houlton, Lainey Herring hit a grand slam to highlight a 13-run third inning as Houlton handed Madawaska its first loss of the season. Herring finished with a grand slam, a triple, a single and six RBIs. Chelsi Murray tripled, doubled, singled and knocked in four runs for the Shiretowners. Kallie Pelletier had two singles and two RBIs while Nicole Cyr added two singles for Madawaska.

Penquis 4, Orono 1

At Orono, Erica Lyford pitched a five hitter, with five strikeouts and one walk, to propel the Patriots of Milo. Holly Smith doubled and singled for Penquis, which scored the only two runs it would need in the third inning. Jill Tuell singled three times for Orono behind freshman pitcher Andi Foster, who struck out 14 and walked three.

Penobscot Valley sweeps Schenck

At Howland, Casey McCloskey pitched a one-hitter with 14 strikeouts to lead Penobscot Valley by Schenck of East Millinocket 18-0 in the second game of a doubleheader. The Howlers won the first game 15-3. In the first game, Molly Woodward hit two singles and a triple with three RBIs for Penobscot Valley. McCluskey helped her own cause with three singles. Ashley Deloge and Maxine Burleigh each had an RBI single for Schenck. In the second game, Kristina Hallett posted two doubles, a single and three RBIs for the Howlers. McCloskey and Woodward added two doubles apiece. Deloge hit a single to pace the Wolverines.

Sumner 13, DI-Stonington 0

At Deer Isle, Lona Sargent tossed a three-hitter with no walks and eight strikeouts to lead Sumner of East Sullivan by Deer Isle-Stonington in five innings. Sargent helped her own cause with two singles and an RBI. Tasha Daley hit two doubles and a single with four RBIs while Jessica Delosa added two singles and two RBIs for the Tigers. Janelle Ciomei, Erika Hutchins and Emily Cormier each singled for the Mariners.

Cen. Aroostook 16, Washburn 2

At Mars Hill, Kristin Long had a double, two singles, and five RBIs to lead the Central Aroostook Panthers past the visiting Beavers. Gabe Brewer had two singles and two RBIs for the Panthers. Ashley Estabrook and Rachel Grew each singled twice. Meghan Saucier hit a solo home run for the Beavers.

Hodgdon 21, GHCA 8

At Hodgdon, Dana Tidd had two doubles, two singles, a two-run homer in the first, and four total RBIs while leading a 21-hit attack by the Hawks against Greater Houlton Christian Academy. Taylor Hovey had three doubles, a single, and six RBIs for the Hawks. Megan Carroll had a double, single and an RBI for the Eagles.

Woodland 6, Jonesport-Beals 3

At Woodland, four straight hits with one out in the third provided the winning margin for Woodland as the Dragons won despite a solid pitching effort by Jonesport-Beals’ Brianna Beal. In the third, Shelby Bassett singled to put runners at the corners before Taylor Cochran hit an RBI single, Molly White hit a two-run triple, and Christine Boomer followed with an RBI single for the Dragons. Cochran doubled and singled for Woodland. Julie Nicholas and Boomer had two singles apiece. Bassett, who had thrown three straight no-hitters, also had 11 strikeouts. Morgan McLean hit a double and a single while Erin Crowley and Hannah Carver each singled twice. Beal allowed nine hits, struck out six batters, and walked no one.

Shead 15, Machias 1

At Eastport, Randi DeWitt led the host Shead Tigers’ offense with a triple, a single, and three RBIs. Robyn Stuart had a triple, single and two RBIs for Shead. Cassidy Barnes doubled and singles while Vanessa Patterson hit a two-run home run in the third. Cody Rolfe had an RBI single in the third for the Bulldogs.

Fort Kent 15, Wisdom 2

At Fort Kent, Emily Bard pitched a four-hitter and contributed offensively as well with three singles and two RBIs for the Warriors. Liz Morneault had a triple, double, single and two RBIs for the Warriors. Chantel Bernier drew a bases-loaded walk for an RBI and the only run for Wisdom of St. Agatha.

Washington Acad. 17, Searsport 2

At Searsport, Taylor Davis tossed a one-hitter, striking out 14 and walking eight, and drove in three runs with two singles as Washington Academy of East Machias triumphed. Andi Flannery tripled, doubled and singled and also knocked in three runs for the winners. Sara Bradshaw singled for Searsport.

Bucksport 10, MDI 1

At Bucksport, Mindy Pye hit a home run and two singles with two RBIs to spark the Golden Bucks to victory. Bailey Blair stroked four singles and plated two runs to back winning pitcher Abby Yoe, who fired a six-hitter. Heather Basley hit an RBI single for Mount Desert Island of Bar Harbor.

Stearns 17, Piscataquis 5

At Millinocket, Stearns erupted with 10 runs in the first inning en route to victory over Piscataquis of Guilford. Kristen Albert hit two singles and knocked in four runs for the Minutemen. Kristine Tracy had two doubles and two RBIs while Angela Levesque hit a two-run double. Annie Agnew had an RBI single for Piscataquis.

Bangor 11, Mt. Blue 0

At Bangor, junior righthander Sam Bedore collected her fifth no-hitter and ninth shutout of the season, striking out 17 and walking two, and she aided her own cause with a pair of doubles and two runs batted in. Sadie Redman also had two doubles and two RBIs and Mariah Cassum had two singles and an RBI for the Rams, who won their 11th straight.

Foxcroft Acad. 6, Ellsworth 2

At Ellsworth, Kelsey Boss fashioned a two-hitter, striking out three and walking one, and Sam Snyder had an RBI single in the four-run fourth-inning rally as Foxcroft Academy upended Ellsworth. Snyder had two singles for the Ponies and Kyra Brown had a two-run single. Taylor Schultz hit a two-run homer for Ellsworth, Casey Wyman singled and Ashley Smith pitched a complete-game five-hitter.

MCI 4, Camden Hills 3 (8 inn.)

At Pittsfield, Brooke Libby beat out an infield single and Brittany Glencross scored when the ball got away from the first baseman, as the Huskies eked out the eight-inning victory. Allie Sinclair pitched two innings of hitless relief to earn the win. Tiffany McLaggan paced the of-fense with two singles and three stolen bases. Whitney Houston posted an RBI single. Olivia Hamalainen tripled and scored in the second and singled and scored in the fourth to pace Cam-den Hills.
