Cab driver robbed at knifepoint

The Associated Press

LEWISTON, Maine — Police in Lewiston are investigating the knifepoint robbery of a taxi driver.

The Sun Journal quotes the driver as saying a passenger told him Tuesday to pull over on Bartlett Street. The driver said the passenger, a white male in his 20s, then brandished a small buck knife, grabbed the driver’s backpack from between the two front seats and bolted from the cab.

The driver told police that the pack contained his log, $90 in fares and a wallet with $20.
