At Stacyville, Andy Kay pitched a no-hitter to carry the Cougars to victory. Kay struck out 14 and walked only one for unbeaten Katahdin, which got two doubles and a single from Josh McGraw. Evan McCarthy knocked in three runs with two singles, while Andrew Hawkins singled twice with two RBIs and Josh Guiggey doubled and single.

Caribou 10, Houlton 0 (5 inn.)

At Caribou, Cameron Anderson pitched a five-inning one hitter with four strikeouts and three walks to pace Caribou. Chad McCarthy stroked a double and two singles with two RBIs, while Pat Thibodeau and Philip St. Peter each doubled with two RBIs. Matt Kinney also doubled for the Vikings. Corey Woodworth singled to lead the Shiretowners.

Central Aroostook 15, Hodgdon 3

At Hodgdon, Brendan York plated three runs with three singles to back a combined two-hitter by three pitchers in a five-inning contest. Kasey Brewer hit a double and two singles with an RBI for the Panthers of Mars Hill. Zach McCarthy hit an RBI single for Hodgdon.

Ashland 19, So. Aroostook 9

At Dyer Brook, the Hornets were aided by 12 Warrior errors in gaining the victory. Henry Milligan hit a three-run home run and a single for Ashland, while Carl Nemer singled twice with an RBI. Cody Robinson homered, doubled and singled for Southern Aroostook. Dillon Boulier and Darin Flewelling each doubled and singled.

DI-S 6, Searsport 2

At Deer Isle, righthander Eben Powers gave up two hits, two walks and struck out 11 to lead Deer Isle-Stonington by Searsport. Joe Condon hit a grand slam for the Mariners in their six-run third when Powers also had a two-run double. Powers finished with two doubles. Matt Bagley had an RBI single for Searsport.

Wisdom 9, Fort Fairfield 2

At St. Agatha, Curtis Picard, Cody Chamberland and Corey Paradis combined on an eight-hitter and Picard paced a 10-hit attack with three singles and two RBIs as Wisdom triumphed. Kurtis Daigle and Chamberland had two singles each for Wisdom while Austin Dufour had two singles for Fort Fairfield.

Fort Kent, Madawaska split

At Madawaska, Kale O’Leary hit a two-run triple, a single and drove in a run on a sacrifice as Fort Kent defeated Madawaska 9-1 in the first game. The Owls took the second game 12-7. In the first game, Jared Soucy doubled and singled with two RBIs for Fort Kent. Aaron Paradis hit two singles. Shawn Lizotte led Madawaska with a double. In the second game, Curtis Thibeault hit a three-run double in the first inning to pace Madawaska. Andrew Dechaine doubled, singled and knocked in two runs. Deejay Gendreau doubled. Matt Harvey had a double and two RBIs for Fort Kent. Jared Soucy added an RBI single.

Narraguagus 10, Jones.-Beals 0

At Harrington, Colby Tucker doubled, singled and drove in two runs to back the Knights and winning pitcher Jeremy Look, who scattered seven hits and walked only one. Look aided his own cause with a double, single and RBI and Josh Beal and Ethan Dublin each singled twice. Terrell Carver tripled and singled twice for the Royals and Harold Lyons added two singles.

Ellsworth 12, Foxcroft Acad. 0

At Foxcroft, Patrick Kelley hit two RBI doubles and a single as Ellsworth rolled past Foxcroft Academy. John Carlin pitched a two-hitter with six strikeouts to earn the shutout and the win for the Eagles. Andrew Hodge had two singles and an RBI while Mickey Manning hit a two-run double and Ross Saunders added an RBI double. Jamie Nason hit two singles for Foxcroft Academy.

Dirigo 8, Georges Valley 0

At Thomaston, Aaron Fenstermacher and Eric Bolduc combined on a one-hitter to lead Dirigo of Dixfield by Georges Valley. Aaron Fenstermacher doubled, singled and drove in two runs. Bolduc had two singles and two RBIs while Arik Fenstermacher added two singles and an RBI for the Cougars. Matt Shields hit a single for Georges Valley.

Stearns 6, Sumner 3

At Millinocket, Jeremy Santerre hit two singles, knocked in three runs, and scored a run to spark Stearns by Sumner of East Sullivan. Joey Malloy paced Sumner with two singles and an RBI. Mike Crowley and Matt Dyer each added a double.

Mattanawcook 4, John Bapst 1

At Winkin Complex in Bangor, Tyler Tash hit a two-run triple to score the winning run in the sixth and pitched a six-hitter while getting six strikeouts and two walks for the Mattanawcook Academy Lynx of Lincoln. With one out in the sixth, Nathan Ireland and Donnie Russell singled before Tash tripled. Tash later scored on a groundout. Brendan Crocker hit an RBI double in the seventh. Bill Weatherbee had a single, scored a run, and stole two bases for the John Bapst Crusaders. Casey Hull had a single and stolen base.

MDI 11, Central 3

At Mount Desert, Jasper Cousins posted two singles, a double and an RBI to lead Mount Desert Island by Central of Corinth. Nolan Hall and Dennis O’Neil each had a single and two RBIs for the Trojans. Josh Collins had a double, a single and an RBI for Central. Zack Kirlin hit an RBI double while Jacob Speed added a double.

Ban. Christian 5, PVHS 2

At Bangor, Jon Johnson hurled four innings of hitless, shutout relief, striking out five and walking two, and Chris Potter belted a three-run homer and a pair of singles to power Bangor Christian past Penobscot Valley High School of Howland. Tyler Alexander had a two-run single in the fifth inning for Bangor Christian. Ethan Babineau hit a two-run homer for the Howlers.

Lawrence 3, Hampden 1

At Fairfield, Blair Blaisdell pitched a complete game giving up one run on three hits to lead Lawrence by Hampden. Ben Violette hit an RBI single for the Bulldogs. Matt Woodbury hit a sacrifice fly while Dakota Marshall also knocked in a run. Josh Tardiff hit an RBI single to pace Hampden.

GSA 3, Orono 2

At Orono, Nick Saunders’ RBI infield single in the top of the seventh lifted George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill by the Red Riots. Peter Dickinson scored the winning after drawing a walk, stealing second and advancing to third. Cam Lawson chipped in with a double and single. Charlie Boyle singled twice for Orono.

Messalonskee 8, Brewer 6

At Oakland, Mike Bouchard’s two-run homer and two-run doubles by Dylan Foster and Matt Stewart highlighted the Eagles’ eight-run fourth inning. Bouchard also had a single for Messalonskee, and Stewart earned the win. Billy Bissell led the Witches with a solo homer and a double, Coby Hutchins posted a double, a single and an RBI, Kyle O’Connell added two singles and an RBI and Eric White had an RBI double.

Penquis 12, Dexter 2 (6 inn.)

At Milo, Brandon Smith hit a two-run homer and a single to spark the Patriots to victory. Kyle Larson doubled and singled with two RBIs and also pitched two innings of shutout relief. Starter Rick Venable fanned seven. Ben MacDonald posted an RBI single for Dexter.

Softball

Caribou 5, Houlton 4

At Caribou, Kristen Espling hit a pair of homers, a two-run shot in the four-run third inning and an inside-the-park solo shot in the fifth, as Caribou nipped Houlton. Emily Staples went the distance for the win, allowing six hits and surviving 13 walks. She struck out eight. Ashley Doucette had a run-scoring double for the winners while Nikki Eastman had two singles for Houlton and hurled a complete-game five-hitter.

Madawaska 8, Fort Kent 7

At Madawaska, Ashley Beaulieu recorded a strikeout and induced a groundout with the bases loaded in the seventh inning, helping the Owls hold on to beat the Warriors. Kristy Morneault’s two-run single in the fifth inning plated the eventual winning run for Madawaska behind Beaulieu, who pitched a four-hitter, striking out seven. Erin Dugal singled twice with an RBI and Nicole Cyr doubled with two RBIs. Mary Grace Morris singled with two RBIs to pace Fort Kent. Jessica Walker added two singles.

GHCA 10, Wisdom 9

At St. Agatha Saturday, an error on a stolen base attempt in the top of the seventh lifted Greater Houlton Christian to the win. Kiki Smart and Elizabeth Little had two singles apiece for the Eagles. Ashley Raymond singled three times while Deliya Michaud, Krystal Paradis and Chantel Bernier all had two singles and an RBI for Wisdom. Sarah Paradis hit two singles.

Lee 16, Katahdin 12

At Stacyville, Ashley Dill recorded a double, three singles and two RBIs to lift Lee past Katahdin. Alaina Hamilton and Jessica Arbo each chipped in with two singles with Hamilton driving in a run for the winners. Lacy Pelletier singled twice and had two RBIs for Katahdin and Myah Smallwood singled twice, also.

Hodgdon 17, Cen. Aroostook 14

At Hodgdon, Haley Quint knocked in three runs with a triple, a double and two singles, spearheading the Hawks to victory over the Panthers from Mars Hill. Taylor McGary smacked two doubles and two singles with an RBI for Hodgdon. Kristen Long provided two doubles and a single with four RBIs for Central Aroostook. Ashley Estabrook hit three doubles with two RBIs.

Narraguagus 7, Jonesport-Beals 6

At Harrington, Andrea Perry’s RBI single and a run-producing fielder’s choice by Mandy Ostberg gave the Knights the winning edge in the bottom of the seventh. Kayla Collora started the Narraguagus rally in the seventh with a single, Sam Baker was then hit by a pitch and Perry singled Collora home. Ostberg followed with her fielder’s choice to score Baker. Perry finished with four singles. Hannah Carver had an RBI single for the Royalettes.

So. Aroostook 15, Ashland 3

At Dyer Brook, Brittany Charette improved to 2-0 with a five-hitter over Ashland, who she beat for her other win, while notching four strikeouts and four walks. Olivia Raymond provided plenty of offense with two doubles, a single, and three RBIs for the Southern Aroostook Warriors. Shelby Hartin had a double, two singles and five RBIs, and Janel Rockwell had three singles and an RBI. Andrea Mayo paced the Hornets with an RBI double. Brooke Labelle also doubled.

Orono 7, George Stevens 6

At Orono, Chloe Paul led off the 11th with a walk, stole second, and scored on a two-base error to tie the game before Jill Tuell stole third and then scored the winning run on a wild pitch. Alyssa Bates led the host Red Riots with a double, three singles and an RBI. Jade Keezer singled twice and Jill Tuell hit an RBI double. Andi Foster notched a complete-game win. Sabrina Vivian and Steph Davis each singled twice for George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill. Lydia Clapp had 10 strikeouts in the loss.

Washington Acad. 23, Machias 6

At Machias, Christy Smith led a 26-hit attack for Washington Academy of East Machias with a double, two singles, and two RBIs. Irene Lewy had a double and two singles for the WA Raiders. Taylor Davis singled twice. Fayranne Lipton had three singles and two RBIs for the Bulldogs. Erica Reynolds and Courtney Dahl each had two singles.

DI-Stonington 22, Searsport 4

At Stonington, Britnie Jones had a triple, double, single, and five RBIs to power Deer Isle-Stonington past the Vikings. Hannah Siebert had three singles and two RBIs for the Mariners. Janell Ciomei had a double, two singles and two RBIs while Sarah Boutilier hit a three-run double. Searsport’s only hits were singles by Sarah Bradshaw and Shannon Higgins.

Dexter 3, Penquis 2

At Milo, Sam Conway doubled and then scored the winning run on Maicee Gustin’s triple in the top of the sixth for the Dexter Tigers. Devyn Bell had a two-run double for the Tigers and Evan Wing had two singles. Oliva Gardner allowed six hits while getting 10 strikeouts and three walks. Morgan Royal had two singles and an RBI for the Patriots of Milo. Penquis scored two in the sixth, but left the bases loaded.

PVHS 2, Bangor Christian 1

At Bangor, Casey McCluskey outdueled Monica Alexander by pitching a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and two walks for Penobscot Valley of Howland. The Howlers scored two in the first and made them stand up. McCluskey led off with a single, went to second on a groundout, and scored on an error. Melissa Batchelder scored the winning run on a two-out single. Kelly Robinson and Whitney Holmes singled for the lone hits by the Patriots.

Fort Fairfield 23, Wisdom 6

At Wisdom, Kelly Lynch hit two singles, a double and drove in three runs to propel Fort Fairfield by Wisdom of St. Agatha. Kelsey Wilson tripled and singled with an RBI while Sarah Hebert had a double and a single for the Tigers. Elsie Berce and Chantel Bernier each had two singles and an RBI while Suzie Collin hit two doubles for Wisdom.

Messalonskee 2, Brewer 1

At Oakland, Emily Weeks walked, moved to third on a passed ball and a wild pitch and scored on a one-out infield error in the 10th inning as Messalonskee nipped Brewer. Chelsea Smith went the distance for the win, allowing eight hits while striking out seven and walking two. Ali Collier doubled and singled for the winners. Leah Jackson doubled and singled for Brewer and Amy Curry had two singles. Amanda Ryan and Melanie Judkins combined on a six-hitter.

Belfast 9, Waterville 4

At Belfast, Victoria Overlock tossed a five-hitter and Hayley Rae’s two-run single highlighted a six-run fourth-inning rally that erased a 4-2 deficit. Overlock struck out six and walked two. Brittany Dyer had two singles and an RBI for the winners and Overlock tripled and scored twice. Taylor Hart tripled, doubled and singled for Waterville and Jess Murray doubled.

Sumner 15, Stearns 3 (5 inns.)

At Millinocket, Lona Sargent and Tashia Daley teamed up on a four-hitter, striking out three and walking one, and Sargent homered and doubled as Sumner of East Sullivan beat Stearns. Ashley Pennartz had a double and two singles and an RBI for Sumner while Paige Curtis had a two-run homer for Stearns and Kirsten Marter doubled.

Georges Valley 12, Dirigo 0

At Thomaston, the Buccaneers backed Danielle Frye with nine hits to beat the Dirigo Cougars of Dixfield.. Frye allowed only Kayla Chaisson’s single, striking out eight and walking three. Kelsie Thompson belted a grand slam and had another RBI for Georges Valley. Kaitlyn Rich singled twice with an RBI and Frye added an RBI double. Bethany Snow and Jill Bradbury each hit a double.

Central 4, MDI 3

At Bar Harbor, Sam Blanchard hit three singles with three RBIs to propel the Red Devils of Corinth to victory. Winning pitcher Alix Rudzinski scattered six hits and hit a double and a single with an RBI. Michele Ferrie singled twice. Brigitte Pratt rapped two doubles with two RBIs for Mount Desert Island.

Foxcroft 8, Ellsworth 5

At Dover-Foxcroft, Kelsey Boss spread out seven hits and stroked a two-run single to lead the Ponies to victory. Sabrina Sharrow hit a run-scoring triple for Foxcroft Academy. Maggie Harding and Katie Blanchard poked two singles and notched an RBI each for Ellsworth.

Hampden 12, Lawrence 1

At Fairfield, Ashley Danforth hit three singles and knocked in two runs as Hampden cruised past Lawrence. Sarah Flagg hit an RBI triple, Jill Carlisle had a two-run double and Sarah Leberton hit an RBI single. Katherine Gilio added a double for the Broncos. Sophie Lindsay hit two singles for Lawrence.

Bangor 10, Nokomis 1

At Newport, junior Sam Bedore fired a two-hitter, striking out nine and walking three, as Bangor won its 10th straight. Sadie Redman and Erin Dean had three singles each for Bangor. Redman drove in two runs and Dean knocked in one. Eliza Estabrook drove in two runs with a pair of doubles and Kate Freudenberger contributed two singles and two RBIs. Sami Moore and Sabrina Vaillancourt singled for Nokomis.

Lincoln Acad. 5, MCI 4

At Newcastle, Sam Flint hit a game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Lincoln Academy past Maine Central Institute. Flint drove in Kari Jones from third base for the winning run. Amelia Pennington added an RBI single for the Eagles. Kristy Huff hit an RBI double while Lydia Fortin had an RBI single for MCI.

Medomak 13, Rockland 1

At Waldoboro, Kayla Santheson pitched four strong innings with eight strikeouts and two walks to help the Panthers prevail. Lindsay Ranquist paced the winners with a double, single and two RBIs and Kayla Vannah and Tessa Dodge each added two singles and an RBI. Natalie Russell singled and drove in Rockland’s run on a sacrifice fly and Joelle Joyce doubled.
