PORTLAND – Andrew C. Rideout was called to his eternal rest Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice, Scarborough. Andy was born March 31, 1961, to Anna Marie Laudano Rideout of East Haven, Conn., and Duane Rideout of Mars Hill. He is survived by his parents; sister, Stephanie Rideout of North Branford, Conn.; nephew, Thomas Fargeorge; nieces, Celeste, Eva Marie and Madelaine Fargeorge; a great-niece, Giana Marie Gamble; his paternal grandmother, Juanita Rideout of Mars Hill; his aunt, Joanne Laudano of Branford, Conn.; cousins, Nick Laudano of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Kara Laudano of Branford, Conn.; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his uncle, Nick Laudano; maternal grandparents, Andrew and Eva Laudano; and paternal grandfather, Clair Rideout of Mars Hill. Andrew was a free spirit with a charming personality, a winning smile and wry sense of humor. He made a difference in the lives of everyone he met. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to his doctors, nurses and staff of India Street Health Clinic for their excellent care, compassion and love they gave Andy during the last 18 years. Visiting hours will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Lupinski Funeral Home, 821 State St., New Haven, Conn. A funeral service will be held Saturday at the funeral home, at a time to be announced. Burial will be at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
