MPBN hopes to fix antenna by next week

MEDDYBEMPS — The Maine Public Broadcasting Network tower here is operating on reduced broadcast output because of technical problems with the antenna, an MPBN official said Wednesday.

“We are only running a small amount of power. We are on the air but only limited service,” said Gil Maxwell, MPBN’s chief technology officer.

The network expects to have a crew onsite this weekend, weather permitting.

MPBN expects to be broadcasting at full power by early next week.
