Madawaska 15, Washburn 2

At Madawaska, Curtis Thibeault posted two singles, a double and three RBIs to power Madawaska by Washburn. Nathan Beaulieu and Deejay Gendreau each hit an RBI double. Andrew Dechaine doubled and singled while Mike Cannan had a two-run double for the Owls. Chris Farley hit an RBI single for Washburn.

Ashland 10, Wisdom 6

At Ashland, Jake Paradis rapped a two-run double to highlight a six-run sixth inning that carried the Hornets to victory. Tony Baker and Henry Milligan also hit run-scoring doubles in the sixth to support relief winner Jeremy Tarr. Curt Collin poked a two-run double for Wisdom of St. Agatha.

Narraguagus 7, Sumner 5

At Harrington, Colby Tucker stroked a two-run single with two out in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Knights the margin of victory. Tucker, who also picked up the win in relief, hit three other singles with an RBI to pace Narraguagus. Kam Jordan doubled and singled while Ethan Dublin singled twice. Jacob Knowles collected four singles for Sumner of East Sullivan. Matt Boyle hit a solo home run and a single and Matt Dyer singled twice.

GSA 14, DI-Stonington 3 (5 inns.)

At Deer Isle, Nick Saunders knocked in four runs with three doubles and a single to spearhead the Eagles’ victory. Rashad Frazier hit a two-run home run and an RBI single for George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill, while Tom Crowe (RBI) and Sam Eley each singled twice. Joe Condon stroked a two-run single for the Mariners.

Shead 5, Calais 3

At Eastport, Justin Lewey singled twice with two RBIs and also pitched a seven-hitter to propel the Tigers to victory. Lewey struck out nine for Shead. Josh Gillespie hit a triple and a single for Calais. Steven Rogers posted a double and a single.

Bangor 3, Mount Ararat 2

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, the Rams rallied for three runs in the sixth for its seventh victory. Cody McInnis led off the Bangor sixth with a double and scored on a double by Lonnie Hackett. Ryan Larochelle’s singled moved Hackett to third and Larochelle went to second on a passed ball to set up a two-run single by Nate Lewis. Lewis also earned the win in relief as he didn’t allow a hit and walked only one in three innings. Tim Bickford singled twice for the Eagles of Topsham and Scott Rogers doubled and singled.

Central 4, Mattanawcook 2

At Lincoln, the Central Red Devils of Corinth scored four runs in the third off two hits and four errors and edged Mattanawcook Academy despite a four-hit, 15-strikeout effort by MA pitcher Tyler Tash. Jacob Speed had a double, two singles and an RBI to pace the Devils. Shawn Cahill hit three singles, Brendan Crocker hit an RBI double, and Tash tripled. Tash walked just one batter.

Houlton 7, Penobscot Valley 3

At Howland, Chris Anderson hit a two-run home run as part of a six-run seventh inning as Houlton rallied past Penobscot Valley. Josh Harvey hit a solo home run while Chris Anderson hit a two-run double in the seventh inning for the Shiretowners. Kyle Dickey hit and RBI double while Ethan Babineau had an RBI single for Penobscot Valley.

Ellsworth 14, Hermon 4

At Hermon, Pat Kelly recorded three singles and drove in four runs to help Ellsworth improve to 6-1. Brad Folmer chipped in with two singles and two RBIs for the winners and Adam Kaspula added an RBI double. Garrett Kaspula also singled twice. Braddock Debay paced Hermon with three singles and two RBIs. Tyler Fournier added an RBI single and Jessie Graffam doubled.

Penquis 10, Schenck 0

At Penquis, Rick Venable spun a four-hitter while Brandon Smith backed him up with an RBI double, solo homer and single as Penquis triumphed in six innings. Kiel Lawson contributed a couple of singles for the Patriots. Ben LeClarc and Jon Sirois each singled for Schenck of East Millinocket.

Rockland 7, Mount View 5

At Thorndike, Dylan Meklin allowed three hits while notching 11 strikeouts and walking four batters to lead the Rockland Tigers past Mount View. Tue Nelsen hit three singles, Dave Searle hit a solo home run in the fifth, and Nick Little doubled for the Tigers. Cody Raven hit an RBI double for the Mustangs.

Brunswick 8, Hampden 4

At Hampden, Jon Simmons hit a run-scoring triple in the fifth inning and scored on a groundout to give the Dragons a little breathing room, extending the lead to 5-2. Brunswick scored seven unanswered runs to erase a 2-0 deficit. Simmons also had a single and drove in two runs and Jack Flaherty doubled and singled and drove in a run. Aidan Gaughran picked up the win. Cody Miller had a two-run single for Hampden Academy.

Machias 8, Jonesport-Beals 3

At Machias, Michael Jenkins pitched a two-hitter — allowing singles to only the first two batters he faced — as the Bulldogs earned the win. Jenkins struck out six and also contributed two singles to Machias’ six-hit attack. Sam Whitney added a double, single and RBI for the Bulldogs, while Jacob Scoville doubled with an RBI and Ben Getchell hit an RBI single. Zach Fenton and Terrell Carver each had a first-inning single for Jonesport-Beals.

Bangor Christian 5, Searsport 2

At Searsport, Tyler Alexander hit two singles and drove in two runs to spark Bangor Christian to victory. Jared Theriault hit three singles while Andrew Harvey had two singles and an RBI for the Patriots. Matt Bagley hit a two-run home run in first inning for Searsport. Josiah Brazier added a double and a single.

Foxcroft Acad. 6, MDI 5

At Bar Harbor, Foxcroft Academy took advantage of three errors to score four runs in the third inning as the Ponies topped Mount Desert Island. Ian Champeon hit two doubles while Josiah Richard had two singles for Foxcroft. Nolan Hall paced MDI with two singles, a double and an RBI while Jasper Cousins added two singles and an RBI.

Dexter 7, Piscataquis 6

At Dexter, Matt Gelzinis laid down a squeeze bunt to score C.J. Giles, who had singled and stolen two bases, with nobody out in the seventh inning as the Tigers eked out the victory. Giles, who earned the win in relief of Andrew Lary, also hit an RBI single. Lary stroked a two-run double in the fifth. Justin Cleaves rapped a two-run single to spark a three-run seventh for Piscataquis of Guilford.

Telstar 7, Georges Valley 6

At Bethel, Devin Vail hit a two-run single as Telstar rallied to score seven runs in the sixth inning and defeat Georges Valley. T.J. O’Connor led the Rebels with three singles. Ben Cross doubled and singled while Ben Field had two singles. Bryant Mathews paced Georges Valley with two singles, a double and an RBI. Larson Platt added a double and a single.

Ashland 22, Wisdom 5

At Ashland, Crystal Cook led an 11-hit Ashland attack with a triple, double, two singles and four RBIs. Anna Paradis had a triple, single and three RBIs for the Hornets. Jessica Jimo doubled. Suzanne Poulin allowed one hit in five innings. Elsie Berce’s RBI single was the only hit for the Pioneers of St. Agatha.

Fort Kent 15, Van Buren 14 (10 inns)

At Fort Kent, Liz Morneault’s fifth hit of the game, a run-scoring double in the 10th inning, drove in Emily Bard and gave Fort Kent its win over Van Buren. Run-scoring singles by Jessica Walker and Breanna Thibodeau tied the game in the ninth for Fort Kent after they had rallied for four seventh-inning runs with two outs to force extra innings on Walker’s two-run triple and Thibodeau’s double. Morneault had a triple, double and three singles and Walker knocked in five runs with two triples and three singles. Bard had two doubles and two singles, Thibodeau had her double and single and three RBIs; Sam Carapelluci had a solo inside-the-park homer and single and Andrea Nadeau doubled and singled and drove in a pair of runs. Jenn Ouellette had a double and two singles and knocked in three runs for Van Buren and Brittany Gagnon had two singles and an RBI.

PVHS 12, Houlton 0

At Howland, Casey McCloskey pitched a three-hit shutout in five innings and aided her own cause with a double and single to lead Penobscot Valley to victory. Molly Thompson chipped in with two singles and two RBIs for the winners and Kristina Hallett doubled and had two RBIs. Vanessa Sanderson and Erika Lackey each doubled for Houlton.

Madawaska 26, Washburn 8

At Madawaska, Ashley Beaulieu and Erin Dugal each had two singles and three RBIs to help power the Madawaska Owls past Washburn. Kaylie Cyr had two singles and two RBIs for the Owls. Kallie Pelletier had a double and three RBIs. Rachel Palmer hit an RBI single for the Beavers.

Sumner 12, Narraguagus 0

At Harrington, Tashia Daley and Lona Sargent combined on a one-hitter as Sumner of East Sullivan cruised past Narraguagus in five innings. Lona Sargent hit a double and two singles to lead the Tigers. Catelyn Hodgkins doubled and singled while Morgan Whitten hit two singles. Brittany Burke had a single for Narraguagus.

MDI 5, Foxcroft 4

At Bar Harbor, MacKenzie Curtis hit a two-run single to highlight a three-run sixth-inning uprising that rallied Mount Desert Island to the win. Elizabeth Sargent added a double for the Trojans. Sabrina Sharrow led Foxcroft Academy with a double, two singles and two RBIs, while Courtney Withee doubled and singled with an RBI.

Calais 15, Shead 0

At Eastport, Whitney Remington doubled, singled twice and drove home a run to lead unbeaten Calais to its fourth win. Honor Wilkinson added three singles and two RBIs for the Blue Devils, while Maci Gillespie doubled and singled with an RBI. Arika Mitchell had a fifth-inning double for Shead.

GSA 18, DI-Stonington 1

At Deer Isle, Lydia Clapp pitched a two-hitter and had three singles with three RBIs at the plate to lead George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill to victory. Clapp struck out nine and walked four in the six-inning victory. Stevie Theoharidis doubled, singled twice and had two RBIs for the Eagles, while Anna Clapp tripled and singled with three RBIs. Janelle Ciomei and Heidi Brewer each singled for Deer Isle-Stonington.

Hermon 4, Ellsworth 3

At Hermon, McKayla Bates socked two doubles with an RBI to pace the Hawks to victory. Lily Barry smacked a two-run double for Hermon behind starter Jessica Devou, who struck out seven of the 12 batters she faced. Casey Wyman hit an RBI single for Ellsworth and Ashley Smith doubled.

Bangor 5, Mount Ararat 0

At Bangor, Sam Bedore pitched a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts to earn her fifth shutout in eight games as Bangor topped Mount Ararat. Nicole Stairs hit two singles and knocked in two runs while Mariah Cassum doubled and singled. Erin Dean added two singles while Alexis Casey hit a two-run double for the Rams. Brooke Graffon hit a single for Mount Ararat.

Dexter 12, Piscataquis 0

At Dexter, Sam Conway hit a two-run double and a single to lead the Tigers to the five-inning victory. Taylor Gross and Devyn Bell each singled with two RBIs for Dexter, while Kirstie Moore had two singles and an RBI and Eva Wing also singled twice in support of winning pitcher Olivia Gardner. Megan Soden, Emily Knight, Annie Agnew and Sarah Hoak each singled for Piscataquis of Guilford.

Mount View 5, Rockland 3

At Thorndike, Alexis Bennett hit two singles, a triple and knocked in a run to propel Mount View to the win. Cassandra St. Clair hit an RBI triple while Alonia Horton added an RBI double for the Mustangs. Joelle Joyce doubled and singled while Kayla McGuire had two singles for Rockland.

Bangor Christian 20, Searsport 6

At Searsport, Moriah Bach had three singles and four RBIs to help the Bangor Christian Patriots down Searsport. Ashley LeVasseur and Brittany O’Kelley each singled twice for the Patriots. Monica Alexander notched a complete-game victory. Megan Higgins singled twice for the Vikings and Shawna Dakin hit a two-run single.

Georges Valley 2, Telstar 1

At Bethel, Danielle Leavitt tripled home Liz Hall (single) with one out in the top of the seventh as the Buccaneers of Thomaston remained undefeated. Danielle Frye of Georges Valley pitched a three-hitter to outduel Telstar’s Candace Hall (four hits). Frye (6-0) struck out 18 and walked three, while Hall (3-1) fanned 12 and did not walk a batter. Freshman Jill Bradbury hit a one-out double and scored on an error with the tying run in the sixth for the Bucs. Katelyn Rich added a double. Kayla Merrill hit an RBI double in the first inning for Telstar.

Penquis 28, Schenck 0

At Milo, Erica Lyford hurled a five-inning no-hitter and Shelby Fowles drove in seven runs with a three-run homer and three singles. Lyford struck out 11 and didn’t walk anybody. She hit two batters. Britnee Genthner drove in five runs with a triple and two singles and Shelby Weston had a double and two singles and knocked in a pair of runs.

Brewer 8, Oxford Hills 3

At Brewer, Coralie Dapice hit a three-run double to highlight a five-run third inning as Brewer defeated Oxford Hills. Emily Fraser hit three singles for the Witches. Megan Gauger paced the Vikings with a double and a single.

Brunswick 20, Hampden 3

At Hampden, Emily Hartzell hit a home run, double and two singles with six RBIs to lead the Dragons past Hampden Academy. Winning pitcher Jess Russell added three singles while Haley Clark singled twice for Brunswick. Sarah Lamberton’s two singles paced Hampden.
