HANCOCK – Cheryl Ann (Gordon) Teel, 64, died peacefully April 28, 2009, from a long illness at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 4, 1945, in Winchendon, Mass., and raised in Belfast, she was the daughter of Warren and Eleanor (Paige) Gordon. She is survived by her children, Albert “Skip” LeSan of Hancock and Ramona Kidder of Hancock; sisters, Eva Gordon of Kansas, Patty Donnelly of Texas and Linda Gerald of Massachusetts; brother, Terry Gordon of Florida; five beautiful grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Warren Gordon; husband, Elmer Teel of Oklahoma; daughter, Wendy Dodge of Brooks; and brother, Ronald Gordon of Swanville. Cheryl had a passion for animals and did not hesitate to come to their rescue. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and all appreciated her meals. Her faith in God kept her strong through her struggle with her illness the last few years. She was an inspiration for all who witnessed this. There will be a memorial service 2 p.m. May 16 at Kingdom Hall, Christian Ridge Road, Ellsworth. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. May 24 at Jackson Corner Cemetery, Jackson. Memorial donations may be made to SPCA of Hancock County. Arrangements made by Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
