Skowhegan man indicted on manslaughter charge

PORTLAND, Maine – A Skowhegan man was indicted today in connection with the shooting death of a South Portland man last month.

The Cumberland County Grand Jury handed down an indictment charging Bruce Lavallee-Davidson, 50, with manslaughter. The indictment follows an investigation by State and South Portland Police into the shooting death of 50-year-old Fred Wilson, whose body was discovered in the basement of his home on April 18. The two men knew each other and were friends.

Lavallee-Davidson is expected to turn himself in at the Cumberland County Jail in Portland on Monday and will likely make his first court appearance later in the week.
