“I always wondered what this place looked like as I drove by,” said biker Buddy Byron of Rumford as he sipped coffee in the sun room of the Blaine House in Augusta on Tuesday, May 5, 2009.

Byron was one of 75 motorcyclists to visit with Gov. John Baldacci.

“To be a motorcycle rider is to take on a extra sense of responsibility on the roads,” Baldacci said as he proclaimed May, 2009 as Motorcycle Awareness and Safety Month.
