PORTLAND, Maine — The National Weather Service says it’s back to temperatures in the 60s after a record-breaking scorcher.

Bob Marine of the National Weather Service says the temperature hit 92 degrees on Tuesday in Portland, breaking the city’s all-time record for the month of April. He says the old record for the month was 85 degrees, set in 1957.

That heat isn’t sticking around. Marine says Wednesday’s temperatures will be 60s, which is more typical for this time of year.
