LEWISTON, Maine — Those Maine guys who created geysers from Diet Coke and Mentos candies are up for the Internet’s biggest award for their latest project.

In their latest experiment, Stephen Voltz and Fritz Grobe created colorful cascading waterfalls out of sticky notes. The Sun Journal newspaper says they’re up against a German carmaker, “Family Guy” creator Seth McFarlane and the Whopper for the Internet’s biggest award, the Webby.

Voltz and Grobe earned their first Webby in the word-of-mouth category of viral video for their experiments with Diet Coke and Mentos. The pair, dressed in white lab coats and goggles, became Internet celebrities.
