CORDOVA, Tenn. – Christopher Thomas Brockman, 36, passed away April 10, 2009. Christopher was born May 24, 1972, in Bangor, to Thomas L. Brockman and Brenda McNally Brockman. He attended Grissom High School and held a Bachelor of Arts from St. Leo College. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Gulf War. Chris worked for many years as a commercial banker and mortgage loan officer with Bank of America. He just completed training to become an inland water way pilot and passed his Coast Guard exam as a U.S. Merchant Marine officer. Chris was employed as an apprentice mate – steerman by Waxler Marine and Transit Co. of Memphis, Tenn. Chris was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Ora J. McNally; and paternal grandmother, Pearl L. Brockman. He is survived by his fiancee, Sarah Parotte; parents, Thomas L. and Brenda M. Brockman; sons, Adam Belanger, Tripp Brockman and Patrick Brockman; daughter, Bentley Brockman; sister, Sarah (Brockman) and her husband, Shannon Murphy; maternal grandmother, Barbara E. McNally of Patten; paternal grandfather, Thomas L. Brockman Sr.; three aunts, 10 cousins and four nephews. A memorial Mass was held Tuesday, April 14, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
