LIMERICK, Maine — Police say a Limerick woman faces an aggravated assault charge in the stabbing of her husband.

Bail was set at $50,000 cash for 49-year-old Nancy Gammon after her arrest early Friday. Police were called to the couple’s home where 38-year-old Scott Gammon had been stabbed four times in his upper torso.

Gammon was conscious after the attack and taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland to be treated for superficial wounds. Police say he’s expected to be released from the hospital Friday.

Nancy Gammon was also charged with violations of conditions of release because of a prior domestic assault on her husband, an assault on a corrections officer and a sheriff’s deputy.
