Collins to meet with defense officials in Europe

PORTLAND, Maine — Sen. Susan Collins and two other Senate Armed Services Committee members are going overseas to meet with defense officials in Europe about the U.S. missile defense system.

Collins will join Sen. Carl Levin of Michigan, who is chairman of the committee, and Sen. Bill Nelson of Florida.

The five-day trip will take the senators to Moscow, Warsaw, Prague and Brussels.
