Is prostitution a problem?

Police have charged seven women with promoting prostitution after a sting operation that

included contacting the women through the online networking site Craigslist allegedly

implicated them. Is this a problem worthy of police resources? Is prostitution really a

victimless crime? Should it be legalized? Or are the victims of prostitution the women

who resort to this work? Are the men who visit prostitutes more worthy of prosecution

than the women?
