THOMASTON, Maine — A Lincolnville man was arrested early Thursday morning after local police investigated reports of a woman who was intoxicated in a hallway of the Hampton Inn.

While looking around, police found James Morrison, Jr., 45, who was apparently passed out in a nearby hotel room. Officer Michael Blais of the Thomaston Police Department arrested and charged Morrison with violating his conditions of release from a prior conviction. He also was issued two summonses for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Blais brought Morrison to the Knox County Jail, where jail officials said he remained Thursday evening.

The woman was brought to Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport, according to the police report.
