PORTLAND — Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a Portland bank but ended up dropping much the cash after a dye pack exploded in the money bag.

Police say a man wearing a hooded sweat shirt walked into a Key Bank at the Pine Tree Shopping Plaza shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday carrying what appeared to be a concealed weapon.

A teller handed the man a money bag that also held a dye pack, which exploded as the man fled on foot. Police say they recovered most of the money.
