Arrests in 4-year-old’s abduction in Maine

The Associated Press

FARMINGTON, Maine — Police say a 4-year-old boy who was allegedly abducted by his mother during a home invasion and assault at his father’s home in Farmington has been found and is OK. The child, Zion Lawrence, was being returned to his father.

Investigators say the boy’s mother, 26-year-old Jennifer Woodbury, and 31-year-old Joseph McGee of Skowhegan were both arrested on charges of aggravated criminal trespass. Police say Woodbury also was charged with criminal restraint by a parent.

The abduction took place around 3:30 a.m. Monday at the home of Michael Lawrence, who sustained facial injuries during the incident.
